ChocFest is one of the UK’s most popular chocolate festivals and at this year’s event, there will be some of the finest chocolate and associated food and drink products to taste and buy from some of the UK’s best local producers. Workshops will be bookable in advance nearer to the date of the festival.

Famous for its Pork Pies & Stilton Cheese. Melton street market runs every Tuesday & Saturday. The local Farmers market on Nottingham Road runs every Tuesday & Friday morning – The perfect place to find some local produce! On Sunday morning the farmers market converts to the Local Car Boot!

Foxton Locks Inn
Foxton Locks – Restaurant nestled at the bottom of the famous staircase of 10 locks on the Grand Union Canal, this picturesque inn is the perfect place to enjoy a pint and some excellent food, whilst exploring the history and beauty of the Foxton Locks country park. Open all day, everyday, you can pop in for a pot of tea or a pint of award winning real ale – there are 6 to choose from – or enjoy a leisurely lunch on the heated waterside terrace. Dinner can be a romantic occasion with a pretty view of the softly lit canal and warm hospitality provided by the friendly staff. A great family pub Foxton Locks Inn is child friendly complete with baby changing facilities and provides a separate children’s menu. Dogs are very welcome on the heated terrace and at specially assigned tables inside – so there is no need for dog walkers to go without (please let us know when making a reservation if your dog(s) will be joining you.

Victory Air Show
Held over a 100-acre site, the Show provides Historical Societies and re-enactments through various forces from several era’s and theatres during the period of 1939-45. From Airmen to Infantry, the Victory Show opens a window in time to the fabulous 1940’s.

Melton Country Park
Melton Country Park is an area of open space some 137 acres (55.5 hectares) in size, just 10 minutes walk from the centre of Melton Mowbray. It is a large area of informal and formal recreation areas, lakes and waterways, sports facilities, play areas, picnic areas, footpaths, and cycle tracks. Other facilities include a visitor centre and café, a bird hide and ample car parking.
